Russian Private Visa

A Russian private visa is issued to people who are visiting Russia and staying with friends or relatives. For this type of visa an official invitation is required from The Ministry of Interior. To obtain the invitation, the relative or friends will need to take a photocopy of your passport and personal data to the special local branch of The Ministry of Interior (ОВИР) in Russia.

Documents you will require for a Russian Private Visa are:

Original passport, valid for at least 6 months.
Application form that has been completed electronically on-line and printed out.
One passport photograph.
The original invitation.
Application fee.

Please note: The private visa application must be supported by an invitation from The Ministry of Interior.
