The Radisson SAS Royal Hotel is a relatively new 5-star hotel located in the very centre of St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospekt, the city’s main thoroughfare. The hotel was opened in 2001 following the restoration of a 4-story building dating back to 1730. The hotel’s building has a colourful history and is considered to be one of the first buildings constructed in this part of the St. Petersburg. Cultural and major public events such as revolutions and wars have greatly affected the building of the Radisson SAS Hotel. The original interiors were demolished but the unique facade has been preserved reflecting its history. The hotel is decorated in classical decor, and its rooms and suites will satisfy any requirements.

The Radisson is conveniently located not far away from all major attractions of the Northern Capital. The Hermitage, Russian Museum, St. Isaac's Cathedral and many other places of interest are situated within a short walking distance of the Radisson SAS Hotel. The Radisson SAS Hotel may not have the atmosphere if the other city's older hotels, but it does have a number of appealing features, including the excellent Barbazan Restaurant.
